poem written before a may storm in the middle of the night

Stale air
Air that goes
Nowhere
Hot night
Heavy sky
Hot and damp
Cloud-muffled sky
And me
Laying still
Head aching still
Waiting for one
Just one
Breeze touch
Cool as chocolate shakes
Cool as first snowflakes
To brace against
Burrowed deep
In quilt-warmth
Snug in my May bed.
